Today is paczki day as the millions of Polish Catholics of Chicago prepare for Lent.
Fact: Chicago has the largest Polish population aside from Warsaw, the capitol of Poland.
Paczki’s are stuffed donuts, but they follow a more yeasty recipe have a delightful glutennous chew akin to pasta cooked al dente.
Eat all the paczkis today.

I am neither Polish nor Catholic but these were still a tradition where I grew up (Detroit suburb). Must find some today.
I have never eaten one of these, (I am not Polish and am only theoretically Catholic) but I would absolutely wreck that thing today.
